Offered completely online, this program focuses on human and cultural traditions throughout the world in regions such as Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. You will explore topics including population and migration, geographic information science and technology, and urban and regional geography.

As a geography graduate, you will be qualified for careers in a broad variety of fields, including GIS, community development, urban planning, foreign service, intelligence analysis, travel and tourism. You will also be prepared for graduate work in areas such as cultural geography, climate science, GIScience and spatial analysis, and environmental and landscape dynamics.

The global nature of this program is incorporated anthropologically - to understand disease, health and well-being in ways that incorporate a variety of cultures, places, and time along with their social, biological, historical, and ecological significance. The curriculum focuses on developing skills in teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and the importance of direct experience through research, study abroad, or related activities. As a global health student, you'll cultivate the ability to approach complex problems through social components by identifying issues, asking questions, and collaborating with others to create effective solutions. Please note that as a global health student, you are required to participate in an approved experiential or practical component, which can be fulfilled by an approved global health study abroad program or an alternate arrangement for those who cannot study abroad.

As a student in the Mass Communication and Media Studies program, you will examine a variety of media and communication subjects including History of Mass Communication, Social Media, and Political Communication.

Many philosophical texts are quite difficult, and the BA in Philosophy courses will teach you how to read, comprehend, and summarize conceptually difficult material. In short, studying philosophy trains you to be a better, clearer thinker.

Course work includes the major subfields of philosophy such as metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics as well as electives that connect philosophy to other areas of inquiry and that emphasize the social relevance of philosophy. You will also be required to complete a senior capstone project, in which you will be able to select from the following topics: Rationalism, Empiricism, Contemporary Analytic Philosophy, Advanced Symbolic Logic, and Topics in Philosophy.

As a graduate from the Philosophy program, you will be well prepared for leadership roles in whatever path you take, whether it be in business, law, politics, medicine or education.

The philosophy concentration in morality, politics and law combine the basic analytical approaches of philosophy with an emphasis on the moral questions that arise in political theory and law. The foundations of our political and legal systems are moral values, such as individual liberty, equality and justice. These are contested values, open to different understandings of their nature and implications.

Students complete philosophy courses as well as courses from disciplines related to philosophy to enrich and enliven their understanding of the intersections of morality, politics and law. This degree program is of special interest to students planning to pursue postgraduate work in law, policy or politics.

This program will provide graduates with career opportunities in law, policymaking and analysis, politics and intelligence work. For example, graduates may find employment with the U.S. Department of State, the Central Intelligence Agency or the United States Department of Justice. This undergraduate program is also an excellent preparation for law school.

As a student enrolled in the online Religious Studies program, you will engage in the comparative, cross-cultural study of religions and cultures and will choose between three thematic tracks focusing on religious life in global contexts, in practice and representation, or in modernity. The online Bachelor of Arts in Spanish degree program is a student-centered program that is individually tailored based on your ability to test out of lower-and upper-division language courses. Prior to starting the degree program, you will be required to take a language placement test, which will determine a suggested course level.

Throughout your degree program, you will also gain an advanced understanding of the cultural context of Spanish, Latin American and Mexican American traditions through the analysis of texts, mass media and important social debates throughout the Spanish-speaking world. The BIS degree, one of the top five programs in the country, offers you the freedom to select two concentration areas from a rich menu of more than 140 possibilities. The core curriculum provides you the intellectual tools to integrate your concentration areas and engage in interdisciplinary problem solving.

The BIS in organizational studies is intended for students seeking an interdisciplinary degree and possessing a desire to learn about the dynamics of contemporary organizations. Via the organizational studies curriculum, you will gain valuable knowledge of management styles, communication strategies, technologies, diversity, ethics and politics.
